Amendments to the Regulation on Frequency Spectrum Tariffing

Taking into consideration the efficacious management of limited frequency resources, uncertainty elimination that are created during tariffing process, with the aim to encourage and create facilities for telecommunications services providers and other interested parties, and based on the best practices of regional and European countries, there is a need to amend the Regulation on Frequency Spectrum Tariffing.
Therefore, the following amendments are approved.

Announcement on Number Tariffing  06.01.2009
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) announces all telecommunications services providers that the number tariffing started from 01 January 2009.  The tariffs for number usage have been determined based on CEPT-ECC recommendations. The ITU database and recommendations have been analysed when determining numbering tariffing. Best practices from EU countries have also been analysed and reviewed.  For more information, please read the Decision on Number Tariffing, posted in our website.

Announcement on Annual Tariff Reduction

Prishtina, 23 September 2008

Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) notifies all telecommunications services operators on the commencement of annual tariff reduction from 1% to 0.3% of gross turnover from licensed activities.
This reduction follows the initiation of frequency band tariffing, and entry into force of the Regulation on Spectrum Tariffing which defines the tariffs for each frequency band.
Spectrum Tariffing and the above mentioned reduction shall enter into force from 01 January 2009 for existing operators.

Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) notifies all licensed companies and potential operators that no payment to TRA will be received without an invoice issued preliminarily by this institution.This billing change has been applied as a result of introduction of the Administrative Instruction 6/2007 on Unified Standard for Reference Numbers for the Collection of Public Revenues, issued by the Ministry of Finance and Economy. Invoices issued so far are not valid for payments, thus the old invoiced shall be standardized with the new invoices issued by TRA.
