TRA participated at the European Commission's Forum 3
Budva, 4-5 February 2010

The Third Forum of the  European Commission  project on Observatory for monitoring of electronic communications and information society services in the Enlargement countries this year held on February 4 and 5, 2010 was hosted by the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro.

In this Forum the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) was represented by, Mr. Ekrem Hoxha, Chairman of the TRA Board and Mr. Lulzim Kurtaj, Board Member.

The agenda of the Regulatory Conference included presentation of the cross-country comparative data for the Monitoring Report III.

In addition to the presentation of the Report III, the forum discussed the EU Telecom Reform and the following issues:

 · Broadband access in the context of national universal service policies
 · Digital switchover and digital dividend, GSM spectrum re-farming and spectrum cross-border
   coordination issues
 · Consumer protection, NRA role in promoting transparency, service quality and net neutrality
 · Broadband infrastructure competition

The TRA delegation emphasized the readiness to further intensify the cooperation, among others, towards achieving the goals of continuous growth of the telecoms sector, challenge management and integration into respective European and world mechanisms.
